Joann Ware (she/her) is a Northwest native who developed a deep passion for place based participatory design processes while studying architecture at the University of Washington (B.Art) and the Rhode Island School of Design (M.Arch), and later as an Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellow with InterIm CDA. She is a licensed architect with experience designing K-12 schools, community spaces, and affordable housing development. As a social justice advocate, Joann serves on the boards of Building Changes, New Roots Fund, and volunteers for the Seattle Architecture Foundation’s youth programs. She also enjoys making things, raising chickens, testing recipes with her husband, and exploring the NW by bike.
