Donnie North has been working in the field of architecture for more than 20 years. She has broad experience in residential, commercial, and mixed-use occupancies, including new, renovation, and historic preservation project types. Her passion lies in working on community based projects, including affordable housing while simultaneously creating buildings that enhance the neighborhood.
Donnie earned a Bachelor’s degree of Architecture at Texas Tech University located in the flat lands of Lubbock, TX, home of Buddy Holly and Mack Davis. It was her thesis project, "Northwest Regionalism," focusing on creating a "sense of place," that led her to the Seattle area. While visiting for research, she fell in love with the area and decided to move after graduating. This was way back in 1991, now she’s nearly native…or so she likes to think.
In her free time she enjoys swimming, biking, and playing tennis.
