Redwood City Medical Office Building
Redwood City, California

Remodel and addition to two existing medical office buildings divided by time (1963 and 1986) and by design intent, were re-invented as state-of-the-art offices for cardiologists associated with an adjacent hospital.

The new west entrance lobby is both more clearly visible and more functionally accessible to convenient parking. Building circulation is simple, clear, and evident from the new lobby. With the concrete skybridges now removed the two individual and separate courtyards are filled with light. Three wide-flange beams discovered above an existing ceiling were salvaged and relocated into the north courtyard.
