In conjunction with ORB Architects, Schemata Workshop has completed the design for an addition to the existing 1985 Senior Center. The addition will provide two new classrooms for arts & crafts, health education, and fitness related programs. The rooms make ample use of daylighting and provide variable light levels to reduce glare and contrast, a key for designing senior environments. The addition allows for a visual and physical connection to the adjacent lawn and is designed for the utmost flexibility by incorporating operable walls along the interior corridor as well as the exterior wall.
