As part of the 1% solution, Schemata Workshop designed renovations to a large recreational building on the Ryther Child Center Campus. The building currently functions as a covered play area for resident children. The existing building program includes a large covered basketball court with a climbing wall on one side, a restroom, a storage room and a smaller covered patio. Wind and rain infiltrate the space, which limits its use during the winter months. Our design creates several storage spaces, a darkroom, and a multi-purpose room.
