Schemata Workshop is currently providing architectural services for the King County Housing Authority for the construction of a new 2,000sf community building. This project will be the new home of New Futures, a non-profit that will run an after school program for the residents of the surrounding apartment community. This building will employ many green building strategies such as, solar hot water, daylighting, advanced framing, and increased thermal insulation. Challenges with the site include a steep slope and building over an existing swimming pool. Construction will begin in the summer of 2010.
