Renton Corps of the Salvation Army
New flexible spaces for community growth

SA-entrance.jpg

Schemata Workshop designed an addition and renovation to the Renton Corps of The Salvation Army. The addition expanded the programs offered in the center by creating new classrooms for after school programs, a new multi-purpose room, a teen room, a dedicated entrance for youth programs, and additional bathrooms. Simultaneously, there were improvements to the existing building, including adding storage, windows and operable walls in the fellowship hall. The primary goal of this renovation was to separate the youth programs from the adult meal program. While small in scope, the project required a conditional use permit and shoreline exemption in addition to the building permit.
